For the love of AI, let's fix model naming
Keep it simple stupid
For the love of AI, can someone help these nerds with standardized naming conventions for AI models?
Here’s Samir’s framework for better naming:
Every named version gets a higher number.
Names come after number.
Every variant within that version gets a letter.
Variants standardized to generally accepted terms:
F: "Fast" for quick lookups and general knowledge
R: "Reasoning" for more creative interactions
L: “Live” for interactions requiring current access to the internet
V: “Voice” for interactions requiring a voice model
Keep it simple, stupid.
